A Here to There, LLC event
The Ghost Town 38.5 will be held on Sunday, 16 January 2011.
There is a new registration policy for the 2011 Ghost Town 38.5. Early registration is by invitation only and includes 2010 participants (runners and volunteers), individuals they recommend to me, and others I feel will be assets to the race - runners from previous Ghost Towns, runners I personally know, etc. Early registration is from Feb. 1, 2010 until Sept. 15, 2010.
A goal is to keep a good ratio between returning runners and those new to Ghost Town. Beginning October 1, 2010 a set of "interview" questions will be available on this page. If you are interested in participating in the Ghost Town for the first time and are not recommended by a Ghost Town runner or volunteer, please copy and paste the questions into an email, complete your answers thoroughly and send them to me at ghosttown@journeyheretothere.com
All applications will be reviewed as they are received. So don't wait. The Ghost Town 38.5 sold out within 24 hrs. for the '09 event and within 7 hrs. for the 2010 event. A wait list will be maintained.
The field limit is 75. The thing to do is get me your answers in October. Depending on how many I receive, I will then invite some or all of the applicants to complete registration and join the 2011 Ghost Town field. Invitations will go out on or before October 3, 2010 and registrations will need to be completed within a set time.
Don't worry - this is not meant to stress you. Please remember, if you don't send in your answers, you won't be able to run.
