2008 Race Photos

My friend, Carlos Padilla was back again in '08.  Carlos suffered the loss of a family member earlier in the week and yet he came through for me and the Ghost Town.  He brought his friend Alex with him.  I'm very grateful to both men for their support of me, the event, and the photos!  They arrived in time to capture the finish of the front runners.  Then they moved up the course, parked at the designated spot and hiked in (with camera gear) from there.  The photos are in order of finish.

I've published just about all the photos.  If there were two of the same runner I selected the best of the pair for the sake of my website software.  So, if you were photographed, you're here.  If somehow you managed to elude the faithful duo of photographers, well you'll just have to come back and smile again in '09!

Some of Carlos' photos have already appeared in the local weekly newspaper The Herald.  I've rec'd word from the editor of Ultra Running that the race report and photos should be in the March issue, but if she's short on space we may be held until April.  I've also submitted a report and photos to Colorado Runner magazine.  So be on the lookout - you could just be running celebrities!
