Living in the desert gives me an appreciation for running water.  I also have an affinity for bridges.  The variety I encountered offered me much entertainment.  A family I met counted them between Abisko and Vakkotavare.  They did not count ones that were not over running water.  There were 248 bridges.  I skipped one.  sigh.

Johan takes a moment to absorb it all. We walked together this one day and it was delightful.

I bathed just below that big patch of snow to the left.

I called this place "Mordor" - I moved from cairn to cairn as this was the only manner of trail by which to cross the moraine.

I'd make my way down to the river and then follow alongside it for the rest of the day.

I don't know if you can see them, but just past the two hikers coming toward me is a small herd of reindeer.
